If they had a judgment against you and you live in a state that allows garnishment, the "Law firm" would have been bound by law to provide the judgment court data information. They would have had to serve your place of employment with the proper paper work. At which time you must then be notified and given the opportunity to dispute and challenge the garnishment. What this "law firm" did if they are really a law firm is illegal. They were attempting to con your human resource department out of information and possibly con her into executing a judgment in which they are not entitled to. More than likely they might have been fishing for information from your human resource departments about your employment status to determine if you are a candidate for lawsuit. They are also hoping to embarrass you into paying. It is harrasment. In Florida, your wages are exempt if you are head of household.
