I can see why you were confused.

If I read your post correctly, it would seem that the SOL started 180 days (six months) before the SECOND charge-off. It appears that the OC lumped some of your payments together to give you credit for full payments, thus moving the date of charge-off to a later date than would otherwise be the case. They are allowed to do that. The change of name of the OC doesn't matter, just as Sears charge recently became Citbank.

The SOL for GA is 4 years for open accounts. So for the purpose of calculating the SOL, it appears that it would expire 3 and a half years after the second charge-off. If the current CA has had the account for two years, you may be very close to the expiration of the SOL, if not past it.
