Okay - I think I am understanding a little more about this company now. But the question is - If I continue to ignore this creditor - how long will it stay on my report?? I know that i owe the money. We started paying my husbands debt (Old Sears accoun) to a lawyer firm called Wolff and Abramson. They want like so much a month. We can only pay them so much each month. If i am thinking right - they cannot do anything to my husband as long as he pays something each month. Is that right? Also - They have our current address, but my old Sears account ( the one that has been bought by Sherman Acquisitions) was under my maiden name. Is there anyway that they could find out that I am the same person connected to the other Sears account (my account with Sherman). I did not think that these 2 companies where affiliated together.
