Calm down, there are lots of ways to protect yourselves.

Do you have a trusted relative in Tx or elsewhere?

You can open up a joint account in Tx with that person's name and SS # as primary.

You can put MOST of the $$ into an immediate annuity, (through a bank or insurance Co.)

You can open up an internet bank account for the bulk of the $$, keeping a small amount in your Tx account.

When EXACTLY did you "fall behind"??

Make sure you opt out ASAP, this will help keep your creditors from learning about your move.

If they file against you in Nev. they would have to serve you in Tx.If they obtain a default judgment against you in Nev. ( which is hard to do as Nev. is a "closed" State and only Nev. licensed CA's could sue)they would still have to domesticate it in Tx to enforce it there.

If you spend the $$ to buy another home (or trailer) Tx has complete homestead exemption. If you have a good sized down payment, you might find a distress sale through a bank, or find a seller who will take back a mortgage.

BE SURE TO OPT OUT BEFORE APPLYING !!!
