texas...judgements 10 yrs renewable with 12% or 14 interest..forget which. SOL 4 yrs on open contracts. no wage garnishment..close your bank accounts and homestead your house. CAs must be bonded to collect and lawyers who sue must be licensed in this state to practice. must sue in district court..not small claims. whychat has some great links in his.her site, plus a lot on tx law is online. some exemptions..same as BK ones..such as vehicles..land..homes..they will def grab a bank account tho.
