well, actually, the SOL only means should they sue you..you have a reason for dismissal and a suit on them for a time barred lawsuit. one can conceivably collect 4ever..by calling or whatever. just not suing and gettin a judgement. altho if a suit is filed and one doesnt fight it..they get a default on you,. even out of SOl. the SOL is time on when they can come after you on getting a judgement...not actually try to collect. at least in texas...collection can go on for years. maybe till someone dies..lol..and maybe after to the kids. i think its crap..but its the law. once SOL is up..it should be gone for good. but..what do i know. im no lawyer. criminal cases , one is not arrested for out of SOL cases...no DA is that dumb.
