The CA who told you that your divorce papers from Colorado were not valid in Missouri is full of as full of sh-- as a constipated elephant. He's only trying to get your hard earned money. If your ex did not abide by the divorce decree, you should sue you ex, take him to court and talk to the district attorney about filing fraud charges against him.
