it is a no win situation. even ones who can pay a debt have no incentive to pay it. then the ones who do pay part find out their screwed later. i made a post about this awhile back..once your charged off...your flat screwed any way you go. once its paid, you really have no chance to dispute it off. or no guarantee it wont be sold..we all know what a CAs word is worth. so ..once its CO'ed..i see no useful solution. once a company has that tax write off..they dont care. best to wait out the SOL, if possible, old stuff on a Cr dont matter a whole lot. pay only if one has to...i aint paying some CA who wil make 30000% profit.
