Sherman and Credit Report

Hey everyone.

I've posted here before and received great advice. Thanks to all.

Now my question. My credit report shows chargeoff of $13000 (BOA). This was sold to Sherman. Since Sherman bought it, it has moved from Creditors Interchange to Alegis.

Luckily, there is only one entry on my credit report, naming Sherman as the "owner". Even though my credit report is showing this debt as disputed (asked for validation in January), the entry shows 90 days late for every month since January. If this is in dispute, why would my report still show a 90 days late for every month since January?

I finally have my credit score above 600 from a high of 800 and a low of 550. This debt is making me sick. It is the only debt I have in the world, and may keep me from buying a house down the road. The debt has only been 1.5 years unpaid.
