Well, actually they may not know the SOL in your state. A national CA could be calling people around the country. If you think about it, these people are sitting at a desk with a headset, they have very little info about the debt actually. If they do an asset search/and or know that they can garnish your wages, it will most likely trigger a law suit. Consider the thousands of debts they handle and the costs involved, they really can't afford to sue everyone because 80% of judgements are never collected. (I read that). It is costly to even do an asset search.
