I have done a little research and have found alot of information witht he "Fair Act" of Dec 2003 that the government has become more and more strict with the companies reporting consumer credit because of all the theft identitiy. These companies have a MAXIMUM of 30 days to supply WRITTEN PROOF of charges that were made and WRITTEN proof that the account was yours to begin with. Figure it like this. I am an accountant in NYC that handles two restuarants. I get calls with people disputing charges on their credit cards. I have to go through 9000 receipts to find that one friggin receipt and usually the signature doesn't match or there is no receipt. Now when I do get them it takes time for me to get it back to the credit card company. 9 out of ten times by the time I get the receipt back to the company, they have already refunded the clients money. They consider it a dead issue after that. I want to thank the both of you for the advice, and any other advice that anyone might have is surely appreciated.
