Midland will waste your time if you send a request for validation, because they'll send a letter back asking you to "assist" them in the investigation by sending in documentation. Don't fall for that. Assist them pro-actively by sending them Why Chat's SOL letter, since you're beyond the SOL. You can follow up with a dispute to the CRA's.
