If you defaulted in Tx. (first time late or past due) in 1999 or early 2000, and then moved to Tn. you are still covered under the Tx. 4 year SOL,

28-1-112. Application of foreign statutes
Where the statute of limitations of another state or government has created a bar to an action upon a cause accruing therein, while the party to be charged was a resident in such state or such government, the bar is equally effectual in this state.

You can use the SOL letter from my website, and refer to this statute as well as the Tx. SOL statute in your letter. Then send the follow up letter to the CRA's.

Make sure you Opt Out first before doing anything.
