http://www.bankruptcyinformation.com/FL_exemp.htm These are your exemptions in bk, judgements are the same. Your home is protected. There are a lot of costs involved in seizing a vehicle and auctioning it off. Also, the value of the vehicle at auction is less than bluebook. So, when you take the minimized value of the vehicle, add the costs of taking possession and auctioning it off, unless you are driving a very expensive vehicle, it just isn't worth the effort. IF THEY SUE YOU, AND IF THEY GET A JUDGEMENT AGAINST YOU........they can garnish wages, but again, there are limits and if you can claim head of household there are further restrictions. One question, when was the last time you paid the original creditors before the account became deliquent and was never current again. Looking for the SOL.
