No, that doesn't sound familar to me, my mortgage company doesn't credit my payment to my account until my check clears the bank. You might try calling the mortgage company and asking them if the check cleared, if they say yes, call the bank and ask them if the check cleared. To avoid embarrassment you could tell the mortgage company you are having trouble with the bank (didn't post your deposit on the day they were suppose to)and tell the bank you are having trouble with the mortgage company (showed payment was received but didn't credit amount of payment to account).
