No, We never refiled.! We were told to wait and
see if they came after us. For the longest time
they did not. Then all of a sudden they got me
on the telephone. I was a bit taken aback but
not enough to give them any new info (but they
tried). They knew that I had a house, but as I
owe $8,000 on a student loan and the state
tax people about another $4,000 (which I did
not tell the CA) I was told by a local attorney to
continue the waiting game and if they file suit
do a Chapter 7 as we can keep $10,000 each
in the house, there are back taxes on the
house owed (on purpose) which brings down
the amount to less than $5,000 and he thinks
they won't bother.

By the way, I owed $3,000 on my credit card
charged on April 21st 1995, because my
Father died and I had to travel overseas to
bury him. Now they want $7,000. I never used
credit foolishly. I never bought clothes or
dinner or went on vacation. I buried my Dad.
So the when the CA called me a deadbeat and
a loser, I laughed at her. She was really
upset!!! And when she told me that she would
ruin my credit rating and I would never get
another cc I told her great I don't want one! I
thought she would have heart failure on the
spot. It actually made my day! But I do worry
that they might come after me. It's not fun living
this way day to day, not answeing the
telephone. They don't send me letters any
more, just phone calls which go to my answer
machine and sometimes they don't bother to
leave a message.
