What state are you in? Do they have a name and social associagted with this account? Have you looked at your CRs lately. I would suggest that you check your CRs and see who is reporting what. This could be identity theft. When was the last time this allegded debt of yours was paid to the original creditor? If you want a quick look at your credit reports, you can do it online. Don't do the three in one deal....that is worthless. However, snail mail is the way to go with your CRs.
