In Reply to: Motion to Vacate Judgment-Granted, then revoked... posted by MBAtkinson on June 22, 2004 at 14:32:28:

i had a friend of my kids steal a gun from me once. he pawned it in his name and i had reported it stolen. i won in the 1st case..and their appeal. they brought in some big city lawyer finally and because i wouldnt file charges on the kid...i lost the 3rd one. total proof its my gun...and all..and the judge..who i went to school with...said you lose. (filing charges on him would entail my daughter coming back here every month for years and losing her job/plus dealing with the gang she was getting out of, who had beat her up twice already ) idiot. at least i made them pay some attorney about 500$ for a 50$ gun..and waste all the time they had. but laws? ha ha. justice??? ha ha. keep appealing if you can afford to. make em pay as dearly as you can. then complain to the bar assc in your state.
