But, he did it Cat, because he could and the Pro Se defendant could do nothing to stop him. Had the poster had an attorney, the judge would have followed the law. You're right, they probably are buddies, and possibly would have been playing golf with the defendant's attorney too. BUT, if the defendant is pro se, the judges are more likely to abuse the law. Not fair, since when is life fair.
