RJM are 2 cents on the dollar debt buying parasites. They bought your $8000 account for $160. You fully misunderstand the scams of debt buying maggots if you think they’ll settle with you for a reasonable amount because they paid next to nothing for your account. Their racket is EXTORTION and THEFT. If they think you have any need to get this account off your credit report, then they’ll squeeze all the harder.

I’ve excerpted an account by a debt buying maggot from one of their trade sites. Here’s how a typical debt buying maggot views the situation.

“”I recently purchased a consumer loan portfolio (last year). In that portfolio was a judgment for 4k. Our 4k judgment grew substantially because the courts allow 26% interest on judgments and this one was around 8 years old lol. Remember. I purchased the 4k judgment for .02, which cost approximately $80.00. We received a payment for $8,600.00. That's 100 x our money. Anyway, I'm back to work! Lol””

Whatever a debt buying maggot paid for your account has nothing to do with what a debt maggot will try to steal from you.
