an update: if you recall I posted that my disabled dad found out he had been paying for credit insurance for several years and didn't even know that until he could no longer make the payments. Once he called to let them know that,he was told about the credit protection. So his doctor filled out the paperwork and it was submitted. AS expected it was denied. Reason being-he didn't let them know about his diability within 6 months of becoming disabled! HUH? Firstly he didn't know he had the protection.Secondly he is being penalized for trying to make the payments as long as he could. Suggestions? He's not made a payment in 2 months now and I've told him to not make any as the payments were going to interest-not balance and he would be struggling to pay this till he dies and it still wouldn't be paid off.
