I have three credit cards from my college days (10 years ago) that I have finally faced I cannot pay off. I secured the services of the debt management company that my husband used to successfully pay off his debt but one of my cards was sold off to a CA while my debt management company was in negotiation. The CA was contacted by my company and accepted the monthly payment they offered but are still stating they are pursuing judgement on me. My company is telling me that the payments they are sending will help illustrate I am trying to take care of this if I go to court but I am worried that this is a waste of time. I just received the first "full payment" letter from the CA. How do I respond? I am in PA (a non-garnishment state)and we have no assets besides personal property and a car that's half dead. What can I expect if the CA gets a judgement? Does PA do sherrif sales?
