I do not know what is going on with Steve Hunter's (President) part of the CRI empire but ER Solutions employs ill-informed, rude, obnoxious, and, dare I say it, seemingly stupid people unconcerned about rights, laws or even whether they have contacted anyone with an actual obligation to their clients.

Bud Hibbs and I are generally on the opposite side of most discussions but here he is right:

" Like all agencies that are pushing the "bigger is better" attitude, ER Solutions and Surpas Resources join the other major player in building at the cost of the consumer and skirting the laws.
Under provisions of federal law the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) consumers have a right to dispute the validity of an account, within thirty days of written notice. ER Solutons and Surpas Resources get an "F" for Failure to properly respond to complaints and to abide by the Fair Credit Reporting Act in reporting disputed accounts.

Perhaps mega-conglomerate and mother company, Convergent Resources, Inc. is making too much money in the collection industry. As the lawyers say, they are a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Save your money, dispute ALL accounts with these organizations and watch the dates of last activity on your credit reports. Apparently these companies care more about the bottom line, than the laws.

NEVER give a debt collector your banking or credit card information.

NEVER do 'checks by phone' as debt collectors could empty your bank account.

REMEMBER: Debt collectors have NO power and NO authority and should NEVER be trusted. They will lie and cheat you to get at your money.

RECORD conversations with debt collectors (where legal) so they can be prosecuted when they break the law. Contact me for referral to a local consumer law professional."

I've already returned one too many phone calls for Glenn and Jodi Gilbert's seemingly defunct company EIN 95-4620479 StormKloth Unlimited LLC. I will stop short of listing their SSN's in this missive...but just barely.

If you hear from ER Solutions, start by refusing to speak with them and then ignore their calls. Eventually, someone responsible will probably try to contact you.
