Great Seneca Financial is a pennies on the dollar debt buying outfit registered to the same address in Rockville, MD as a subsidiary of Wolpoff and Abramson. Whether this is some front for Wolpoff and Abramson is very suspicious. This company was formed in 2003.

If you go online for the Iowa courts website, you’ll see that over 60 lawsuits were filed in a one week span in mid-May 2004 in Iowa by Great Seneca, most using debt collection agency attorney Charles Litow. Great Seneca has NEVER filed a lawsuit in Iowa prior to last month. And last month they filed over 60 within a week!

My guess is that Wolpoff and Abramson have something to do with this company. We all know how “innovative” they are in stealing money,, they practically invented bogus “arbitration.”

I think they are using Iowa as a “test market” to see whether carpet-bombing lawsuits will generate good returns on their penny-paper. I.e. they are trying to see if people will “roll-over” or “fight back.” Good luck in fighting back. With all the lawsuits they just filed, I doubt they have much information on any single account.

Somebody posted this information about Charles Litow a few months ago on cardreport.

“This message I found a couple years ago at http://www.topica.com/lists/CreditCollection/read is now more difficult to find, so in the interest of posterity let's quote this message which demonstrates what a self-revealed jackass Charles Litow of the Litow Law Office in Cedar Rapids is:
"motivating employees
"LITOW LAW OFFICE, P.C.
"Aug 26, 1999 05:27 PDT
"I motivate my employees by encouraging and allowing them to buy distressed paper through a limited liability company. Everyone is involved and they love it. It also builds loyalty.
"Charlie Litow
"Litow Law Office, P.C."
What scamps! I hope they order in pizza, too, and play checkers together! This sleazebag went to Creighton, a third-tier school in the U.S. News listings, so he must be as much of a dumb-dumb as he is a crud. The guy started out in debt collection, and then moved on to law school so he could be even more of a wanker in the debt collection field. “
