I FINALLY got served papers today, well, sort of, the process server threw them in the mail box and didn't have the decency to put them in an envelope, nice guy. So if the mail ran after he threw them in the box, my carrier got to read the papers. Needless to say no one signed for the papers. None of the court papers or anything else included by their attorney has a SS# and they include a contract agreement, without any signature. It referes to Midland Credit Management as an assignee and MRC Receivables as owner of the debt in the copy of the first notice they sent me, but court papers say Midland is the assignee of Providian. The deposition of the Midland head cheese puts the charge off date of the account as 7/01, but doesn't say when the last payment was made and the date of their acquisition 10/03. My state is Missouri.
