After a gruelling year, two creditors have finally won a judgement and arbitration against me from three months ago. I was wondering, how can they enforce the collection of the debt if I have NO JOB nor individual assets on my own? My husband and I have a checking and savings account with him as the primary. Both cars have been paid for already and our names are on it but he is primary too. Our house have two mortgages (first and second) with both of us on it but his name is primary too. I was wondering, would anyone know how judgements are enforced here in Delaware? I was told that this is a non-community state...what impact would that do...is that any advantage to me or my husband? I am so scared of the embarassment they would put me through. Wolpoff is one of them on behalf of Discover. Since they have won, they have sent me two letters, imposing on me to pay them the full amount of the judgement or else...more court papers. What more can they do, now that they have won...harrass me more? I sometimes imagine them sending a Sheriff to take away all our belongings. Would they be able to put a lien on our already extisting two mortgages? Isn't a credit card debt an unsecured debt?... Please, please help....all information from you guys would be appreciated.
