Frozen account questions

I have a default judgement against me and have taken my money out of my bank account but left a few dollars so I didn't have to close the account completely. My account is with a local credit union and I still wanted to keep it in case I happen to get my money straightened up. How will I know if the account gets frozen? Will someone notify me by mail? Also, how would that effect my children's accounts.....they are both minors. One is 7 and just has a savings and the other is 16 and has checking and savings that she uses for her checks she gets from work.
