WOW!! http://www.bankruptcyinformation.com/MI_exemp.htm Michigan is a tenants by the entirety state, so if you are married, they can not take your home. http://whychat.5u.com/answer.html Read this info. including the links. There is info on how to answer a law suit that is not past SOL. You should be able to file INDIVIDUAL BANKRUPCY. That would not effect your husband at all, and it will put a stop to all litigation. If you file individual bk, tenants by the etirety will protect your home. Talk to a bk attorney ASAP, you should be able to get a free consultation. Household goods and vehicles are generally exempt in chapter 7 because they are not worth much at sheriff sale. My attorney told me that any ONE ITEM could be worth 400.00 at sheriff sale, lets face it used household goods are not worth much, nor are vehicles, even nice vehicles. Bet you can do a Chapter 7 and be done with it. If you talk to an attorney, make sure you mention STATE exemptions and Tenants by the Entirety.
