Okay, first of all I have an old CC account that went to collections a long time ago (probably a year and a half or even more. Not sure about the exact date off the top of my head). I was paying $5 a month just to keep them off my back, but I forgot to send the payment last month (oops). They called this morning and mentioned something about a settlement or taking me to court. I'm a college student, I don't really have any money so the settlement is out of the question. I do own a house but not a car. My question is, if I get a judgement against me in court, what exactly does that mean? My house is a joint asset with my wife and this is in michigan if that helps. Thanks
