My ex-wife put my name on utility contracts in order to get service (her credit was crap). She then defaulted on the bills, which I didn't discover until I applied for a new credit card years later. Can anyone tell me where I start to a) get the defaults off my file and b) convince the utility companies that I never had anything to do with the whole business in the first place - I was living in another state at the time!
