Ookkayy. I think this triggered a memory. Would an unpaid CELLPHONE bill to Cingular fall into the Public Records category?

I had an account with them when I lived in Florida but they screwed up the accounting so bad on THEIR side that I defaulted on the payments. $415 sounds about right although, what the actual cost I owe them for services is half of that. $250 of that amount is an early termination fee. The account went to a CA who immediately added another $200 "administrative costs" to the balance, making it over $600. I refused to pay it and just let it go when all my other financial problems started.

If this $415 has now gone to Public Records and I'm going to be sued, then it has to be with the OC, Cingular.
