Credit Card Offer

I received an offer in the mail from Bank One for their credit card. The offer is 0% interest until November 2005 on all purchases and balance transfers. I'm thinking of transfering my current credit card balance to this one to save on the interest.
HOWEVER.. Many years ago (more than 10) I had a Bank One card and I think I may have defaulted on the card. I've never heard from them.
Does anyone think it's OK to go ahead with this offer or, if there was a default on my part, could they legally obtain collection from the past account?
Thanks for the help.
