First off, don't believe anything a collector says. You will get a letter explaining arbitration IF the account actually goes to arbitration. If you do get a letter stating that they are taking you to arbitrtion, you need to respond.

Arbitration is psychological rape. Most consumers will think they have no choice but to pay. NOT. They can not legally take away your right to due process. Even if they get an arbitration award, you they still have to take you to court and get a judgement before they can even try to collect from you. Then, it is a matter of assets and employment. You are a long way from that process.
