If you mean you've gotten all the paperwork done and to your lawyer, that is NOT filing for BK. Until your lawyer actually submits them to the BK court, the BK automatic stay is NOT in place and will NOT protect you. Once the papers ARE filed, and date stamped, the Automatic Stay goes into place.
