Hey everybody, long time reader first time poster here. Long story short I filed bk on may 28 of this year. I own/am paying on a home but I have no equity at all in it. My attorney said it would be no problem to keep it and reaffirm because I have a $10,000 exemption. Anyway, I received a couple of motions in the mail today from the attorney representing the bank my home loan is through. He filed two motions, one is a motion to modify the automatic stay issued from the bk and the other is a motion for abandonment. The second motion states that the movant requests that the house and property be abandoned from the estate. My question is what in the world does this mean and whats it all about? Are they trying ot get my family kicked out of the house or are they trying to get the house removed from the bankruptcy proceedings? I am behind about 3 weeks on the payment and I live in Kentucky. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm worried sick. I can't get in touch with my attorney until Monday but I won't be able to sleep until I find out something.
