Any account that has your name on can be frozen. If possible get your name off of your son's account ASAP. I'm sure some of the other frequent posters will be able to give you more in depth advice on this one. What I'm doing right now is paying cash for everything. If you hae a bill pay cash or get a money order. If you can't get your name off of his acct., pull $$ out of it, and keep it in a safe spot, and keep the acct balance pretty low. My lawyer said that the courts will check the balances if you filed BK and I remember in a previous post too that the can freeze the acct. (have to go to court first??) they send letters to all bank within a 50 mile radius from you too see where your acct is. I'm sure you'll be getting some better, more helpful replies, but this is just a start. Good Luck to you!! :)
