1-When did you last pay the ORIGINAL CREDITOR on the account WITHOUT any late charges or past due fees.( S.C. has a short 3 year SOL)
2- A collection agency that calls and "threatens" to file suit is likely a "garbage" collection agency that hasn't any ability to do SQUAT.
3.Even IF a lawsuit were filed against you in S.C., and even IF they won a judgment against you, in order for them to enforce it against you in Tx., they would have to certify it and have it "domesticated" (refiled) in Tx. Stop talking to the scum scammers on the phone, demand all further correspondence be in writing.
