When I spoke with Equifax, they stated it would come off in 7 years OR whenever the SOL expires, whichever is longer. So if I dispute it as outdated, it should be removed? I tried disputing it a few months ago and it was verified, that's when I was told the 10 year thing. As for the mortgage company, the approval letter states the condition is "removal of certain items from applicants' credit reports". I was told on that one that FHA would not approve a mortgage when you have an outstanding unpaid judgment, no matter how old it was. Does anyone know the timeframe for getting a motion to vacate heard. Days, weeks, months?
