I live in alabama, moved here from florida. I have an old debt.. according to my credit report last date of activity was 06/1999. Is this considered SOL due to my moving from florida (5 years) to alabama (6 years)?
How do you know if you are judgement proof? I am a single mother, no child support, taking care of 2 disabled / elderly parents who are unable to get enough from ss to make ends meet on their own due to medication costs. This debt is a car that got repoed due to a ratfink ex spouse who had other things to spend money on. Thanks for your help.. I dont know where to go with this..

PS I keep getting calls from different ca's each month, this month it is 1 800 881 7547. They just give a file number and wont id themselves.. is this a violation? Last company yelled at me and threatened me, then quit calling.
