TECHNICALLY, a judgment can stay on as long as the legal SOL for judgments in your State.

However as a matter of sensible (rare for CRA's) policy, they delete after 7 years because otherwise they would have to check the SOL of the State where the judgment is filed, the State where you are now and make sure that EITHER State Legslature has not made a change or that there is some other reason why the judgment is no longer enforceable.
