With a Twist?

First off I have to say that many of you are just amazing! An education I am getting and some peace of mind as well from your sharing of information.

Here's my questions (let's see if I can do this right!)

Resident of Fl. SOL is 4 years on CC and 5 on written. 2 cards with issues, easy one first. DOLA was 6/00, sold, resold, both CA's are reporting though 1 says "transfered/sold to another agency". I am getting ready to send a SOL letter to both, demand they both be removed. No validation was ever provided, though I don't know the account, I haven't been contacted by either CA ever. I have disputed it on my CR previously (same reply - it stays?)This one I think will be easy it's with Credigy now. Is there anything I should do or not do? Anything I am missing? The OC was Fleet but I have no knowledge of this account.

Next question, this one is proving to be tricky for me.

Credit Union - had 2 loans, vehicles, both paid off on time on all payments. Both show paid on CR. One CC, I am disputing it, last DOLA says 4/01 on CR though it was charged off in 12/01. I was served with a "complaint" in Feb. had 20 days to respond. I did. I also asked for verification of "all" monies on said alleged debt. Turned my copies into the court house and mailed one to the attorney as well per the instructions. Haven't heard from them since. I know the SOL is 4/05. I checked on line at the courthouse, nothing there. Nothing new on my CR, they do not have my banking info. Here's the twist......the Credit Union will not release the title to the vehicles until the CC is paid. The car loans shows a zero balance/paid as of 3/02. I am not disputing the account, they sent me the application I signed, I am disputing the monies due on it. They haven't provided me with anything else though. I am not "judgement proof" but they wouldn't be getting much and I told them in my answer to the complaint that I would file chapter 7 if they tried to garnish or anything. No choice really, garnishment would not allow me to meet my mortgage payment. Any thoughts or should I just wait out the SOL?

Thanks!

Ali
