Ok, so I reaffirmed an old debt..now what?

I reaffirmed an old Chase card in 2000 with another bad debt buyer who offered a card. The original debt goes back to charging off in 1997. It was incurred in PA and there the SOL is 6 years. Is there any way I can fight this? I paid on it twice and then I lost my job and it wasn't a priority. Is there any way to get this off my credit report? ANY suggestions would be gratefully appreciated!
