what do i do? $35k cc debt

well i have about $35k in cc debt of which $10k is from a personal line of credit from my bank. this is not including school loan which i know i can't get rid of, but i was able to defer that.
the above does not include the $4k left on the car which i don't want to mess with. also the above includes about $2.5k from my bank cc and $10k from personal line of credit and i wouldn't want to get in a tiff with my bank.
have been unemployed about 10 months(ui ran out) and will be applying tomorrow at one of those gas station store places for minimum wage and also will be applying to 3 new temp agencies.
now even if the agencies get me something at $12/hr and i work nights at the station i am still in deep trouble.
i am late one month so far on all payments except those associated with the bank and thecar. yes i am getting automated messages from two cc companies so far.
i want to call them, but what can i tell them?
i just would like them to freeze the account so interest and late fees don't accumulate and defer the payments for 6 months. if i was signed up for credit protection that would not be a problem but how many people actually get that service?
any advice?
