You can attempt to talk to the credit card companies and bargain for a lower interest rate and possibly lower payment, but I have never heard of a company that defers the payment without the protection plan. All of this will depend on how long you have had the cards and if you always paid timely before all of this. I know it's not much for advice, but my friend did this before. Good Luck :)
