May be I am not convincing because I have never had exposure to things “illegal”and sound naive. But I can assure you all I wrote is for real. And just like you I cannot imagine someone will impersonate a detective from the Sheriff’s Office. Because he did not find me on his visits , he also left a business card and a phone number to call him at the Sheriff’s Office. I think he is legitimate. It is also hard for me to accept that I can be arrested for this, but again, not being experienced, the letters from the attorneys and the papers from the Superior Court, some of them with a name stamp of a clerk, seem to be legitimate and scary. I don’t plan on suing anybody and I do not want to own the county. I just want to be left alone as I do not have the $11,000 they ask for. Is there a way out ? What can they get when presenting themselves in front of the judge and asking for enforcement of the judgement , with detective’s report of my “refusing entry” ? I did speak with a lawyer who only offered to take the case and negotiate with the plaintiff attorneys to reduce the debt by maybe , $2000. I thought I can do this without him if I wanted to.
