This is beyond FDCPA violations. This is now SLANDER and DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER!!!

There is no way they can protect themselves, because the phone company CAN produce proof that they called (they may require a subpeona, but so what). If you can get affidavits from the folks who took the call, I can guarantee you that an attorney would be more than happy to take your case.

They must be desperate AND stupid. Don't let them get away with it!
