honestly i dont know if its legal or not but just thought id give you an idea of what happened to my sister about 2 yrs ago .. my sis by error was creditedher checking account an extra 14,000. dollars that she only knew about by getting her mthly bank statement , well she said nothing to her bank & after about 3 mths withdrew 4000. of the 14000. ( she ALWAYS had maybe like 300 in her account cause shes always broke ) & after about another month was notified by the bank about their error & of course wanted their money back .. long story short the bank treated my sis like she stole from them & they gave her i believe 5 days to come up with the 4 grand or else , she never waited to see what woulda happened to the "or else" so she borrowed the 4000 from my parents to replace it .. like i say i have no clue about the legalities of what coulda happened to her but from the banks view mistake or not they wanted their money back , seems they reguard their mistake as a mistake & thats it but only my opinion , goodluck kelly down on the river in beautiful laughlin nevada :)
