A real legal clinic would certainly consider the option of bankruptcy, and help you with it if that is the best choice.

What you may have here is one of those for-profit "not for profit" CCCS operations buying themselves an air of legitimacy by leasing the university's good name. Universities will do ANYTHING for money these days.
