Don't get me wrong...

I have already been served....lol...can get any more "served" than I have been.

I just wanted to clarify the statement because other people might have read it and not understood properly.

I don't think that it is a terribly good idea to duck ANYTHING. Many of us who got into debt did so because we were upset and emotional and began to avoid things (At least I know I did, anyway). Perhaps we could have found a way out early on (2nd job). Sometimes not. But either way...when we started charging things on accounts that we couldn't pay off within a month or two...we should have known that we were heading for trouble. And if we didn't... it is because we avoided educating ourselves on the risks and benefits of credit BEFORE opening our accounts.

And BEFORE people start hating me....

I'm not saying that debt makes a person bad. It was a MISTAKE! And there is a reason it was a mistake... somewhere in there we made poor judgement. We are human. The best we can do is hope to learn from our mistake(s) and move forward (god forbid the CAs let us).

BUT... to end my little rant....

No one in here served themselves much justice by burying their head in the sand. Just look at all the people who don't appear in court and get a judgment. If they stopped pretending like nothing was wrong then the debt buyers and CAs wouldn't be playing casino-like odds on default judgment returns.

Just my 2 pesos.
