credit scoring ???

I have not been able to get a satisfactory answer to this ?. My wife has 5 chargeoffs accts. all 5 to 6 years old, 1 judgement 5years old, 1 car repo 5 years old all of hers were prior to us being married. I have a sold acct. from Sears 4 years old they sold it to Sherman Acq. who of course reported again. This is all I have on my credit report honestly. Now we had a morgage broker we are familiar with run our credit, we have the reports with scores from the three major CRA's my wife came back with a 618 averaged score my score came back under 600 averaged, I was blown away. If I wasn't so pissed, it mine actually be funny.
